What is the Kingston Occult Association?
The Kingston Occult Association formed to study occult science, to practice the occult arts, and to expand our knowledge and understanding of the universe. We teach each other and we learn from each other, for the good of all. In short, we are seekers of Truth.
We are a multi-denominational organization, we accept and embrace a wide range of mystical, magical and/or occult spiritual paths. We explore myth, magic, symbolism, mysticism, metaphysics, religion and ritual. We provide a safe place to network and to meet like-minded people.
What is the occult?
Well, here's what the bible has to say about it:
"When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [an ancient occult practice], or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD..."

So, what is the occult to us? This is how wikipedia defines it:
Occultism is the study of occult or hidden wisdom. To the occultist it is the study of "Truth", a deeper truth that exists beneath the surface: 'The truth is always hidden in plain sight'. It can involve such subjects as magic (alternatively spelled and defined as magick), extra-sensory perception, astrology, spiritualism, numerology and lucid dreaming. There is often a strong religious element to these studies and beliefs, and many occultists profess adherence to religions such as Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Luciferianism, Thelema, and Neopaganism.
